Outward Bound's Southern Cross course is a 21-day program designed to connect and empower students of diversity or who are fostering diversity in their communities. We hear from our 2023 students to see how the found the course.
An important part of an Outward Bound experience is being fully present and connecting with the people around you and the nature that surrounds you and to do that, we ask students to hand over their devices so they can live in the moment.
Former Outward Bound Instructor, Bernie Gunn, has set himself the goal of fundraising the entire course fee for a full watch of 14 Hawke's Bay rangatahi.
Outward Bound and iwi Te Ātiawa o Te Waka-a-Māui have re-signed a Memorandum of Understanding to continue working together to enhance Tikanga tuku iho of our organisations in Anakiwa and surrounding whenua.
OB Instructors Luke and Robbie planned to run 35km a day for 30 days, travelling form Bluff to Anakiwa and raise $10k for Outward Bound scholarships. The pair ended up travelling all the way to Cape Reinga!
On 24 September 2022, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 150 OB alumni from the past six decades back to the school in Anakiwa for our 60th-anniversary celebration.
